ChatGPT… the dawn of new salesmen?

Popular saying goes “it is not AI who will replace You, but people who knows how to work with it”. This may seem particularly true in case of sales & business development.

Why the AI will not replace salesmen? Some say it is because of need to think creatively, be compassionate and generally proficient in using emotional intelligence.
My answer is simpler… Proactivity.

AI will help you but for now it is mostly reactive – it will not spark the conversation or lead the discussion. This is why as long as it only responds to queries, even most advanced ones – we are safe.

Or are we? Think of all those tasks except selling – creating offers, materials, cold & warm communications, research on the reasons to buy… Seems like something we could delegate by asking some tailored questions right? Right.

In my case I imagine this as having a Jarvis from “Iron Man” movie – Tony Stark did the job but it was Jarvis supporting him with all the data in real time. Jarvis was simply responding to queries yet with high speed and accuracy – which meant a great deal for Iron Man’s ability to perform. Got the idea?

I believe in the future every Sales will have his personal GPT, and the more they are profession – the more their GPT will be professional with them. Welcome to dawn of new salesmen!
